It’s my privilege to introduce our ministry to you. Our name reflects our community and mission. Our seashore contains numerous lighthouses that provide light to those traveling our shore at night. Our church is to be a spiritual lighthouse to all those we encounter. We desire to shine the light of Christ and His word on Southeastern Connecticut and Southwestern Rhode Island.

Having grown up in North Stonington, I have a great love for the area. After eight years of preparing for pastoral ministry, I returned home to start this church. Throughout my undergraduate and graduate training, I could not think of a place I would rather serve the Lord than here in Southeastern New England. The forming of Lighthouse Community Baptist Church is the fulfillment of a dream I had as a nineteen-year-old. I recognized then as I do now the need for a fresh and exciting church for those who have found their previous religious experience boring and unrelated to their lives.

Our church wants to reach those who do not presently attend church or are disenchanted with church, hypocrisy, and tradition for tradition’s sake. As a result, we’re not looking for people who have a tremendous religious pedigree. Rather, we’re seeking to help people who yearn to know Christ intimately enter into a life-changing personal relationship with Him.
